Choose one beginner-friendly business
Pairs should use the same starting scenario for both runs. All activity remains inside a fictional model; students do not contact customers, spend money, collect personal data, or imitate a real company.

- Name the need and value. Complete: “For fictional customers who need ___, this business offers ___.” Do not claim that a modeled offer represents real demand.
- Map five connected parts. Identify the customer and value; key work and resources; people and capacity; revenue, costs, and cash; and affected stakeholders or constraints.
- Write a prediction. Use: “If we change ___ from ___ to ___, then ___ may change because ___; we will also watch ___ for an unwanted effect.”
- Preserve a baseline. Record scenario, period, decisions, and at least one financial, customer, operating, and responsibility measure. Do not alter it after seeing the result.
- Run one controlled comparison. Change only the selected input. Keep the scenario, horizon, and other controllable settings constant whenever possible.
- Trace cause and effect. Explain the likely chain from decision to activity, customer experience, revenue or cost, capacity, and stakeholder effect. Mark any link the model does not measure.
- Recommend a bounded next step. Choose adopt, revise, retest, or stop. Cite two results, one tradeoff, one uncertainty, and one real-world check required before action.

The simulations are simplified fictional learning tools. They do not demonstrate market demand, guarantee profit, reproduce every cost, or establish that a real activity is safe, lawful, accessible, fair, insurable, licensed, or environmentally preferable. Students should not collect personal information, contact real prospects, publish claims, spend money, or treat modeled people as stereotypes.
A real decision requires current local requirements, primary evidence, appropriate consent, accessibility and safety review, honest advertising, worker and customer protections, full financial assumptions, and qualified guidance where needed.
