Challenge FAQ

Motel simulator challenge modes

What changes in Easy, Standard, and Hard?

Easy lowers the net-worth goal and gives demand/cost help. Standard keeps the normal model. Hard starts with less cash, higher costs, weaker demand, and a higher target.

Where is my personal best saved?

Your best result is saved only in this browser using localStorage. There are no accounts or server saves.

How should I use challenge mode in class?

Have students run the same challenge, compare occupancy, RevPAR, reviews, and cash flow, then defend one operating change.

How can I export my motel simulation data?

Click "Download Results (CSV)" on the results screen to save monthly occupancy, average daily rate (ADR), RevPAR, room condition, channel fees, labor, net profit, and decision snapshots.

Keep learning Test your assumptions with our interactive tools: quantify margins in the Hotel RevPAR & ADR Lab or model operational bottlenecks in the Dynamic Peak Pricing Lab.

Continue your motel simulation practice

Compare formats in the motel business simulator guide, test room rate, occupancy, and contribution with the pricing and profit simulation guide, stress-test fixed costs and reserve cash with the cash-flow and break-even guide, contrast room and food-service operations in the hospitality simulation guide, or use the printable motel worksheet.
